8/31 AT&T Starr's Mill Invite

On Labor Day Weekend’s Saturday, the XC Raiders traveled South to race in the AT&T Starr’s Mill Panther Invite. The Varsity Girl’s kicked off the race morning racing their way to a 21:43 average and 10th out of 24 teams. The girls were led by Juniors—Lidia Lo Faro (19:09) and Amalia Brady (20:30). As soon as the sun got above the trees, the air became thick, but the XC Raiders kept pushing through. The Varsity Boy’s were led by Sophomore, Tommy Dunmire (17:23.81), followed by Freshmen, Timi Dosunmu (17:45) and Ian Shum (17:51). The Varsity Boy’s finished 8th out of 27 teams with a Varsity score spread of 46 seconds. The JV and Freshmen runners showed strength as they raced in unfavorable weather conditions. Wyatt Christensen (So) medaled 18th in the JV Boy’s race with 18:38.30.

Overall, the XC Raiders did an excellent job of getting out in the first mile without ever looking back or second-guessing themselves.
